What am I listening to?
One of my favorite creative pastimes is designing concert posters for the musicians I have on repeat in my headphones. My guilty pleasure is scheduling all of their concerts on my birthday.
Currently listening:
Chappell Roan is gaining well-deserved traction and popularity following the release of her debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. Her songs are catchy and incredibly CAMP! My inspiration for this poster was definitely based on her campy aesthetic as well as the visual dichotomy of an empty field and her upscale interesting photoshoot for Nylon which I think encompasses the idea of the Midwest Princess. Roan just released her newest single, “Good Luck, Babe!” (which I’m obsessed with) following her departure as the opening act for Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS tour. She is at the top of my dream concert list at the moment!
